CHANGE-CAMBIO

Hi guys!

It’s Patty. I hope you guys had a great summer like I did, it’s been really a long time since my sister and I don’t post anything in our blog and we are so sorry … Honestly we didn’t have a specific schedule in order to upload a new post in a certain time and stuff and we’ve also been out of town and busy this summer, specially this year because we wanted to catch up with our family and friends since our arrival from USA. Well, I’m not going to make this presentation too long so let’s get right to the point.

So Paula and I were thinking about changing the theme of our blog, I know we created  this blog because we wanted to share our experience in America, for fun and to show people/ future exchange students a little bit of how actually is being there daily and living in the United States but after our American experience we decided to turn this blog in a fashion blog. Well, again we do this for fun and because we enjoy writing and express ourselves, we are not professionals on this area and we don’t intend or mean to cause bad intentions. We just love fashion & style so much. Although this is more focused on fashion of course we are still gonna write about America, lifestyle and many more.

It’s Patri.  Espero que lo hubiéseis pasado en grande durante el verano como lo hice yo. Mi hermana y yo llevamos sin subir un post bastante tiempo y lo sentimos …. En verdad no teníamos un horario específico en orden de subir un post en "x" tiempo y tal, también hemos estado en varios lugares y muy ocupadas este verano, especialmente este año porque queríamos pasar más tiempo con la familia y amigos desde que llegamos de América. Bueno, no voy a hacer esta intro muy larga. Vamos al grano.

Paula y yo estábamos pensando en cambiar el tema del blog, ya sé que creamos este blog porque queríamos compartir nuestra experiencia en América, también lo creamos por diversión  y para enseñar a la gente o futuros estudiantes de intercambio un poco de cómo es verdaderamente estar ahí diariamente y vivir en los Estados Unidos pero después de nuestra experiencia americana decidimos hacer de este blog un blog de moda. Una vez más hacemos esto para el entretenimiento y diversión porque nos encanta escribir y expresarnos, no somos profesionales en esta área y no pretendemos causar malas intenciones e impresiones. Tan sólo nos gusta la moda y el estilo mucho. Aunque esto estea más enfocado a la moda, por supuesto que seguiremos escribiendo sobre América, lifestyle y más!

 And another session has started...
 It's sad to say this but summer is ending, to me this summer was special and the longest one I had in my life (since early June duh). I wanna look back and emphasize my favorite looks of this summer. What is your favorite one? Let me know in the comments.

Es triste decir esto pero el verano se está acabando, este verano fue súper especial para mí y el más largo ya que empecé las vacaciones a principios de Junio. Quiero resaltar mis looks favoritos de este verano. ¿Cúal es tu favorito? Comenta :)

1-Boho (one of my fav style for summer),  this outfit is super comfty and perfect to walk by the beach or festival. I wore it to walk out at Golada.

 2.-Lady chic: I wore it when I was sightseeing Monforte with my family and it definitely was a wise choice!

 3.- Denim casual: I've  been having this dress since a long time and I still take the most of it, you can combine it easily with different complements to create new styles. In this case, I decided to match it with my glasses and with this outstanding bag along with my shoes of the same color as my watch. I wore this outfit at the international equestrian contest at Arteixo, A coruña.
Llevo teniendo este vestido ya bastantes años y aún lo sigo poniendo, lo puedes combinar fácilmente para crear nuevos estilos. En este caso, decidí llevarlo a juego con mis gafas de sol y con mi adorable bolso del mismo color que mis zapatos y mi reloj. Este conjunto lo vestí en Arteixo, A Coruña.

4.-Sweet Lady: This outfit basically is very uplifting and super cute. The mashup of colors is amazing. The skirt is formed by a thick cloth so you can wear it at winter too. I wore this outfit at my British friends house at Portugal. 

Este outfit es básicamente formal y muy lady. La combinación de colores es increíble. La falda tiene una tela un tanto gorda entonces también la puedes llevar en invierno. Este outfit lo puse en la casa de unos amigos británcios en Portugal.

5.-Navy White: What is summer without shorts? I had to post an outfit for sure. The shirt makes the outfit totally Navy mainly because of the white color. Simple but elegant, that's why I love this outfit. I wore this outfit at a rooftop in Houston, Texas. I seriously miss that place so much, there's nota day when I cannot think about my 'Merica.

¿Qué es el verano sin pantalones cortos? Tenía que subir un outfit con ellos sí o sí. La camisa hace que el outfit sea totalmente Navy sobretodo porque el color blanco lo domina. Simple y elegante por eso estoy enamorada de este outfit. Lo puse en lo alto de un edificio en Houston, Texas. Echo demasiado de menos ese lugar :,(

It's Patty and I know it's been a long time since I don't post anything on this blog and the main reason is that since I came back from America I decided to be more focused on my life in Spain, to catch up stuff with friends, family meetings and sure enjoying the summer!

This post is gonna be different from the other posts. It talks about style and fashion.

My sister and I are into fashion so much, so we randomly take photoshoots with different outfits once in a while. Just because we are twins doesn't mean we have to dress equally or having the same style. In fact we have similar styles sometimes but we defenetely not the same as before. Our evolution on dressing changed along the years.

With that being said I'm gonna show you guys the different styles with pictures of me and my sister Paula.

SPANISH/ ESPAÑOL

Hoy voy a escribir yo (Patri) y ya sé que ha sido mucho tiempo desde que no subo nada a este vlog y la razón es que desde que llegué a España de América he decidido estar más centrada en mi vida aquí, quedar con amigos, familia y sobre todo disfrutar del verano!

Este post va a ser diferente de los otros posts. Habla sobre el estilo y la moda.
A mi hermana y a mí nos gusta mucho la moda, y de vez en cuando aleatoriamente hacemos sesiones de fotos con diferentes outfits. Que seamos gemelas no signficia que tengamos que vestir igual o tener el mismo estilo. De hecho tenemos estilos similaes pero definitvamente no el mismo. Nuestra evolución en el estilo cambió a medida que pasaban los años.
Con eso dicho voy a enseñaros dos diferentes estilos con fotos de yo y mi hermana Paula.

1. THE LADY/GLAM/VINTAGE STYLE

ENGLISH/INGLÉS

This style is recognized to be very girly and chic. People who wear this style use pastel colors, on my case I chose my favorite color pink in a light tone and the beautiful and simple color white. I'm wearing a white blouse from Stradivarius (last year summer collection) with a skirt from the same brand as well. The necklace (not seen so well) is from a store in the downtown of Las Vegas and the ballerinas (shoes)  are from Primark. The sunglasses as from Primark as well. Lastly I'm carrying on one picture a bag from Stradivarius. I totally love this style and in some way it maches my personality.
SPANISH/ESPAÑOL

Este estilo es reconocido por ser muy femininio y chic. La gente que utiliza este estilo usa colores pastel, en mi caso escogí mi color favorito rosa en un tono claro y el bonito y sencillo color blanco. Llevo una blusa blanca de Stradivarius (colleción de verano del año pasado) con una falda de la misma marca también. El collar (no se puede apreciar muy bien) es de una tienda en el centro de Las Vegas y las bailarinas son de Primark. Las gafas de sol son de Primark también. Por último en una de las ftoso estoy llevando un bolso de Stradivarius. Personalmente me encanta este estilo y de una manera u otra combina con mi personalidad. 

2.- BOHO CHIC/"LITLLE HIPPIE AND GYPSY" STYLE

ENGLISH/INGLÉS

This style is a fashion trend that is part bohemian and part chic. Boho chic combines organic, colorful, detailed, folk-inspired pieces with simple, modern pieces. It is tied to the vintage phenomenom in fashion where the trend was to bring back vintage styles for the modern era. My sister is wearing a white undershirt from Primark and on it she's wearing a lace t-shirt from Bershka (last summer collection). She's wearing jeans from a local store in my town called "Otzi" and lastly sandals from Primark. The sunglasses are from Primark as well and the earrings from Parfois.

SPANISH/ ESPAÑOL

Este estilo es una tendencia de moda que es por una parte bohemia  por otra parte chic. Boho chic combina piezas orgánicas, coloridas, detalladas, inspiradas del folk con lo simple y modernas piezas de ropa. Está relacionado con el fénomeno vintage en la moda dónde la tendencia era traer otra vez estilo vintage para la era moderna. Mi hermana lleva una camiseta blanca interior de Primark y  encima de esa camiseta lleva una camiseta de encaje de Bershka (colección del verano pasado). También lleva un pantalón bombacho de una tienda local de mi ciudad llamada "Otzi" y por último sandalias de Primark. Las gafas de sol son de Primark también y los pendientes de Parfois. 

A CRAZY JOURNEY BACK HOME or How I met my sister at the same airport after 1 year without seeing her PART 1 

What's up guys? It's Paula and after a long time without writing (I know I literally suck I'm sadly back to Spain. Today's post is about my jouney back to Spain, apparently I don't have good luck with airports even though I love traveling by plane. Well, let's start !
So my flight was the 11 of June on a Saturday, I was supposed to depart from Houston to Dallas at 12:45 pm but because of the weather of Dallas I had to stay 3 freaking  hours inside a plane waiting for its depart, some people even went back to the airport because they couldn't waiting that long, afortunately I had a lady by my side who was very nice and helpful with me. One thing Spain doesn´t have is the ease of meeting such nice people in the appropiate moment unlike America. When I got to Dallas I ran like I've never ran in my life to take my next flight because it left at 4:40 and I arrived at 4:45 but I missed it or for reasons that nobody knew it was cancelled. Then I went to the gate and a women told me to go to another one to fix things, apparently I wasn't the only one who missed the flight, a lot of people missed it too. Dallas Forth Worth International Airport wasn't having a good weather to ensure safe flights. There I met a boy whose name was Christian who was going to Granada to learn Spanish but missed the same flight as me , when the lady told him he had to go to London and then change airports I really got scared because I didn't want to go that far so I decided to wait and take a flight the day after.That meant I had to stay in. That's when I really  start worrying as everything happened so fast and I was alone.

¡Estoy de vuelta! Os escribe Paula y después de un largo tiempo sin escribir os escribo ya desde España. En este post os hablaré de mi viaje de vuelta a España, aparentamente no tengo tanta suerte con los aeropuertos aunque adore viajar en avión. ¡Empecemos!
  Mi vuelo salía el 11 de junio un sábado, esta previsto en salir desde Houston a Dallas a las 13:45 pm pero por el mal tiempo que hacía en Dallas, tuve que esperar 3 malditas horas dentro del avion con destino a Dallas, mucha gente decidio volver al aeropuerto de vuelta porque se cansaron de esperar tanto. Afortunadamente tuve una chica al lado mia que era muy maja y me ayudo en contactar a la coordinadora ya que mi móvil no funcionaba y lo más probable es que todos mis vuelos cambiaran ya que debido al retraso no iba a tener suficiente tiempo para coger el siguiente vuelo.Cuando llegué a Dallas me dirigí a mi vuelo lo más rápido que pude pero ya era demasiado tarde o por razones que nadie sabe mi vuelo a Madrid se había cancelado. El aeropuerto internacional de Dallas no estaba pasando su mejor momento al parecer ya que muchas personas habían perdido su vuelo. Cuando fuí a la puerta de embarque que me indicó una señora para solucionar y aclarar mis siguientes vuelos, conocí a un chico que se llamaba Christian que iba a Granada para aprender español y que había perdido el mismo vuelo que yo. Cuando la señora le dijo que no había un vuelo directo para él y que tenía que ir a Londres y cambiar aeropuertos allí, me empecé a estresar muchísimo entonces decidí esperar hasta mañana y coger un vuelo más fácil, eso significaba que tenía que quedarme en el aeropuerto. Ahí es cuando me empecé a preocupar bastante ya que todo había pasado muy rápido y estaba sola.

HARRY POTTER WORLD

 Hi there!

Since it's been a while I decided to do a special post about Harry Potter. As you known I had loved Harry Potter since I was a kid, I literally watched all the movies and I know everything about it cause I really enjoy it . That's why I wanted to share with you guys this passion that I have towards this special wizarding world. So I had the chance and opportunity to go to California,  to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios! I was freaking out I couldn't believe it actually existed and it  was right in front of me. I went to all the rides twice. I know that there are a lot of rides and places and stuff inside Universal Studios but mostly all the time I was in the Harry Potter area haha. I tried the famous ButterBeer and I had a lot of fun. In fact I did a challenge using jelly beans with friends. Videos will be down here with pictures! Hope you guys like it!

 

Desde que ha sido mucho tiempo sin hacer un post, decidí  hacer un post especial sobre Harry Potter. Como sabéis me ha gustado Harry Potter desde que era una niña, literalmente he visto todas las peliculas y sé todo sobre eso porque verdaderamente me encanta. Esa es la razón por la que quiero compartir con vosotros esta pasión que tengo a esta saga de magos. Bueno entonces, tuve la oportunidad de ir a California, para visitar el mágico mundo de Harry Potter en Universal Studios! Estaba flipando no me podía creer que estaba realmente allí, y que existía y estaba en frente de mí. fui a todas las atracciones dos veces. Ya sé que hay muchas atraciones y lugares y cosas dentro de Universal Stuidso pero mayoritariamente todo el timepo estaba en lo de Harry Potter jaja. Probé la famosa cerveza de mantequilla y me lo pasé genial. De hecho hice un challenge usando jelly beans con amigas. Los vídeos  estarán abajo con fotos! Espero que os gusté!
